What a busy day!
We made hummus to eat at our Christmas Party.
If you would like to make some, the ingredients you will need are: chick peas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic and water.
We followed the method step by step but we found that each group created a slightly different balance of flavours.
It was like ‘The Great British Bake Off’ when we set about trying them all!
During the afternoon, we had the Key Stage 1 Christmas Party.
There were lots of fabulous entries in the Christmas Hat Competition.
We played some festive party games.
As a special surprise, Santa came to visit!
Thank you for all your generous donations of food and drink – there was a wonderful selection of healthy nibbles and tempting treats.
NO HOMEWORK OR SPELLINGS UNTIL NEXT TERM!
We wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
Miss Capper, Mrs Donohue, Mrs Clarkson and Mrs Noonan

We are so proud of our Year 2 children and how hard they have worked in order to prepare for our part in the Christmas Production.
The children have sung beautifully and delivered their lines so clearly.
A big thank you to all the parents and carers who have created such fabulous costumes.
Tomorrow will see the first ever Westwood Christmas Market.
It will also be a pyjama/own clothes day. If you wish to participate, please bring a chocolate donation for the tombola.
Year two have been busy creating tasty treats and handmade crafts to sell on our stall.
All the proceeds will go to our twin school, Little Angels, in Uganda.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Year 2! We’ve decorated the tree and rehearsals for our part of the Christmas Production are going really well.
Please try to bring all costumes in by Wednesday 7th December – any difficulties, just let us know and we’ll be happy to help!
